The Memorial Park Project

Thank you for making Our Vets Park a reality!

Our Veterans Memorial Park celebrates the American spirit as well as providing a space for visitors with an atmosphere of natural beauty, peace for quiet meditation, and a sense of dignity and honor to the memory of veterans and loved ones.

At present the OVMP planning committee is working on plagues for the park benches.

First and foremost the park is to be a memorial to all who have served our country from Washington Parish. Below is the design which shows the Plaza Center featuring the US flag, the State of Louisiana flag and the Missing in Action flag. The circular plaza has welcoming benches at the park entrance, granite monuments and flags for each branch of service: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard as well as Space Force.

Commemorative engraved brick pavers which are still available for purchase offer a lasting tribute in designated areas of the park. Ample handicap and traditional parking is available as well.
